Sections of the media are speculating on the political entry of Tamil actor Vishal in the coming weeks. It's said that the BJP President Amit Shah is trying to enlist the popular actor into the party. The elections are due to be held in May.

In this context, it's speculated that Vishal has been approached by the BJP leadership.

A Telugu man, Vishal is one of the top stars of Kollywood. Since the BJP has no much political foothold in Tamil Nadu, it's said that it has been trying to woo actors like Rajinikanth, Vishal, and even Ajith. TN is a State where actors take sides openly even without being in politics.

Remember, in January, there was speculation that Ajith was mooting the option of campaigning or even joining the BJP. However, there hasn't been any development on this front.

In the past, Narendra Modi, then the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate, tried his best to woo Rajini into the BJP's fold. All that he could manage to get was Rajini's indirect endorsement of Modi.
