After being interrogated for 10 hours by SIT, Puri Jagannadh posted a videographed statement from his residence.

Addressing the public, he said that he had told the authorities that he doesn't know Kelvin or his gang members. "I would never do illegal activities. I have a lot of respect for police department and some of my films mirror that," he said.

He found fault with the media for running special bulletins/programmes on him without knowing the truth. "I made 'ISM' as I love journos. I have friends in various channels. We keep meeting and have coffee together. But they are the ones spoiling lives at this hour. My mother, wife and children have been weeping for past 4 days. I am hurt. The media has caused a lot of disturbance in us. The truth will be decided by SIT," he said.
