Bhavana has managed to give the likes of Nayanthara, Padmapriya and Asin, the Malluwood girls in Tamil, a run for their money.

Just a film-old in Tamil, this young actress has her hands full now. She has a long list of films including Arya, Koodal Nagar, Kizhakku Kadarkarai Salai, Veyil, Naan Kadavul among others.

She says, 'My father Balachandran was a popular cinematographer in Malayalam cinema. My dad loves to take photographs of me. Director Kamal happened to see one such photo of mine and that's how I became the heroine of Nammal. The film ran well and I got good offers after that.'

Bhavana, who is pursuing her UG through postal education, says, 'I want to do only meaningful roles and stay away from glamour.'
