A roller coaster of a movie: MCU director heaps praises on RRR

American filmmaker Scott Derrickson, best known for directing the 2016 superhero film Doctor Strange, has showered praises on Jr NTR - Ram Charan starrer RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli.

Scott Derrickson said he had watched the epic period drama on the occasion of his 56th birthday along with his family members. Describing RRR as an outrageous roller coaster of a movie, the filmmaker said, “To celebrate my birthday last night, my wife, kids and I watched @RRRMovie — what an awesomely outrageous roller coaster of a movie. Loved it.” When a social media user quoted Derrickson’s tweet and asked ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘The Suicide Squad’ director James Gunn to watch it, he replied, “I did. Totally dug it.”

Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer RRR, directed by S.S. Rajamouli, is one of the biggest hits of the year so far, and the movie has also become the third highest grossing Indian movie of all time by the end of two weeks of theatrical run. RRR also stars Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morrison, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Shriya Saran and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles.
