The entire Tamil film industry and fans are mourning the sudden death of famous comedian Mayilswamy in the morning hours of February 19th. His last rites will be conducted at the AVM cemetry in Vadapalani Chennai at 10 am on February 20th.
It is well known that Mayilsamy an ardent Shivbhakt was participating in the Shivratri event at the Kelambakkam Shivan Temple in Chennai. Popular musician Drums Sivamani was with him there and he has shared the last conversation that Mayilswamy had with him at the temple yesterday.
Speaking to the media in this regard, Drums Sivamani said, “Actor Mayilsamy did not go to Tiruvannamalai this year for Maha Shivratri which he had done for several years. He asked me to go to the Shiva temple in Kelambakkam and we both got the grace of Shiva by singing the songs of Vidhiya Shiva. Mayilswamy left for home around 3 am. At around that time I even sent a voice message thanking Maylswami. Suddenly, around 5 o'clock, a call came from his number and I got the news of his death"
Sivamani then added that Mayilsamy told him “I have brought Vivek sir to this temple. I brought you too. and my last wish is to bring Superstar Rajinikanth to this temple and and get him to do the milk abhishek on the linga here."
"He loved the Lord Shiva very much, so he got moksha on the day that is auspicious for Shiva. May his soul rest in peace" concluded Drums Sivamani said. Fans are questioning on social media whether Rajini will fulfill Mayilsamy's last wish and visit the Kelambakkam Shiva temple.
Mayilswamy became famous by mimicing Rajinikanth's voice during the 80s and later also acted in several movies with him. The Thalaivar graced the wedding of the late comedian's son and pics from the ceremony are now going viral on the internet.
