Finally it is all down to the wire and it doesn't get any bigger.

Three films, three big names --- Sankranthi releases which have special significance and prestige attached to them, are no different this year. Lats year Varsham took the cake, this year, who would walk away with the honors?

The suspense is killing. With Venky's Sankranthi pulling out of the race, the biggest among the three is NTR's Alludu with Genelia and Shriya along with Ramya Krishnan.

Huge star cast, heavy budget, overdose of masala, dancing numbers from Devi Sri Prasad …Naa Alludu will be for the masses.

The talking point however has been the reported Rs.81 lakh for Ramya Krishnan. She plays the sexy mother-in-law to an energetic NTR Jr.

For Sumanth, Dhana 51 is crucial. For he would like to show that his good run 2004 was no flash in the pan. Surya Kiran, who gave the hit Satyam, is back with Sumanth for this.

If Sumanth can give a hat-trick of hits, he is sure to catapult into the big league. The film's title stems from the hero Dhananjay and people nicknamed him as Dhana. His roll number in class is 51. The talking point has been the title. Superstition ensured that. Sumanth previous hit films Satyam and Gowri were names of the lead characters.

The third film in the race is actually the dark horse --- Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. Producer M S Raju is being seen as a man with the midas touch. With Prabhu Deva at the helm and Yuva fame Siddharth and the pretty Trisha as the lead pair, the movie is a lover's dream. The talking point has been Siddharth's hairstyle.

If the film clicks, it will be the rage of the town.

May the best film win.
