Ram Gopal Varma is set to deliver political entertainers, "Vyooham" and "Sapatham," aimed at highlighting and advocating the agenda of the ruling YSRCP and Chief Minister Jagan in Andhra Pradesh, leading up to the impending elections. However, "Vyooham" has encountered challenges with the Censor Board, prompting Varma to accuse its members of displaying political bias and obstructing the film's release.
Addressing the media, Varma made sensational allegations against the Censor Board, asserting, "I said that you can't stop the film by blocking the palm of your hand. The strategy is ready for the final release. Don't ask if you got a clean 'U' certificate after doing it. I am not familiar with AP CM Jagan."
"I depicted the developments following the demise of former CM YSR. We have covered all aspects in this. I portrayed what people spoke in public and also what they said in private, even in their bathrooms and bedrooms. All characters are fictional," he clarified.
Varma went on to share some intriguing insights:
Unique Poster Design: "I have a history of designing movie posters with censor certificates." Censor Certification Secrecy: "We will be sent to jail if we reveal how the film received censor certification." Dawood Ibrahim Connection: "Due to a phone call with Dawood Ibrahim, the film got censored. 'Vyooham' is a political drama." Film Overview: "Vyooham will span from YSR's death to Jagan's padayatra." Chandrababu Analogy: "Chandrababu is more like Rasagulla." Telangana Political Landscape: "In Telangana, KCR's defeat brings a sad tear to one eye, while Revanth Reddy's victory brings a happy tear to the other eye." Opposition Dynamics in AP: "There is no strong opposition in AP as in Telangana." Varma clarified that real characters are featured in the movie. He emphasized that the film represents his perspective based on personal observations and experiences. The revising committee granted a 'U' certificate.
Expressing a positive opinion about YS Jagan, Varma stated, "YS Jagan is a positive opinion for me. I will not tell anyone to vote."
The film is scheduled for release on December 29, 2023.
