The island country, Mauritius, is beckoning Indian film industry. A geographical entity with vast tourism potential, it is promising deep rebates of up to 45 per cent to Indian filmmakers who carry out shoots there.
Recently, representatives from the small island nation met certain members of Kollywood's film producers' council. They tried to impress upon Prabhu and Gnanavel Raja, among others.
So far, countries like Thailand are among the most preferred destinations for our filmmakers. Now that Mauritius is promising incentives, our directors and cinematographers may well explore unknown terrain!
