DC Comics Superhero flick 'The Batman' is primed for release in 2018 and willl feature Ben Affleck playing the character of Bruce Wayne. Ben wasn't just the actor, but also the director and producer of the Warner Bros. movie until recently, when he took his exit as the film's director. Citing the fact that his character demands focus and attention, Ben realized doing 2 things at once was out of his realm.

While a lot of names for a new director had been floating around, sources say that Matt Reeves might succeed Ben Affleck. Reeves is known for his movies 'Let me in' and 'Cloverfield', but lacks experience in a comic flick like 'Batman'. His third film in the 'Planet of the Apes' franchise will release this year.
