The trailers of ÂMatru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola look amusing; the lead cast look interesting, the film is something promising which people of all ages are keenly looking forward to watch.
However, if things go Censor BoardÂs way, then unfortunately those under 18 years have to give it a miss...
Yes, recently ÂMatru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola earned an ÂA certificate from the Board, much to the anger of the filmÂs director Vishal Bhardwaj, who feels that the decision is not fair.
In the film, Pankaj Kapur who plays a wealthy rural-based character mouths the word Paincho Paincho repeatedly throughout the course of the film. The Board, finding this familiar to the Hindi abusive word, slapped an ÂAÂ on the film.
Upset on this, Vishal justified that the word is not at all sounding abusive, instead it is meant to be amusing since it goes with the characteristic of the person living in Haryana.
I have not accepted the 'A' rating by the regional officer and I'm taking it to the Revising Committee. I would request the Board to look at the intention. 'Paincho Paincho' is actually quite musical, stated the director in an interview.
He further went on to demand that when society has accepted a family restaurant in Bandra named as ÂPapa Pancho then why canÂt film accept the same.
