The real life hero from Karnataka who was in the captivity of Pakistan for 21 years Narayana Mandhagaddhe is the base for ‘Mathe Mungaru’ (MM), a film by ‘Mungaru Male’ producer E Krishnappa that is hitting the screens this week.

Director Dwarki with a kicker line for ‘Mathe Mungaru’ says the issue unnoticed by nine Prime Ministers. That is the real life story of an ordinary guy Narayana Mandhagadde from Shimoga district a Kannadiga serving the prison for 21 years for no mistake. Narayan Mandhagaddhe who came home in 2003 with the intervention of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, was not recognized by his family members. He had to slog and finally convince everyone to accept him back.

He is now recognized as Pakistan Narayana and was 48 years when he came to home town. The 55 year old Narayana works at Durga Amruth’ lodge in Shimoga. He is contemplating on becoming a partner to a widow.

The same role in ‘Mathe Mungaru’ is played by Srinagara Kitty. This real to reel is a fantastic story presentation on screen by director Dwarki (who made Iruvaru Mattam in which Kitty was the hero with another character in the entire film) says Kitty.

Rachana Malhotra plays counterpart to Kitty in ‘MM’. Noted playback singer of Hindi cinema Asha Bhonsle’s song ‘Heladhe Hodeya Karana Bahoo Doora…’ is another highlight of this film.
