Ravi K Punnam is the journalist-turned-producer of Masti. How does he being an erstwhile journalist matter? "As a journalist, I have observed what kind of movies fetch profits for the distributors. That is why I have chosen the subject of five missing girls for my film. Films recently made by journalists, like Ee Rojullo, Lovely, ORCK and Journey have all been hits. Our film will join them," he said on a positive note.

Director Chacha wants us to see for ourselves how the 'masti' of the five heroines - played by Sushma, Deeksha Panth, Nazia Adil, Rekha and Madhu Bala- would be.

The makers are happy that at a time when it is difficult to sell small films, the buyers of Masti believe that it will fetch them profits. They are confident that this film will be watched by youngsters of all classes and groups.

Cinematography is by Gopinath says that all the technicians who have worked for the film have expertise in their fields. "This is not a routine love story. Every scene is like a painting," they add.

Chanukya, Pradeep, Prem, Katam Reddy, Koteswara Rao and Shaktiman are part of the cast.

BG score is by Vijay Kurakula. Produced by PV Nagesh Kumar and Ravi, the film is written by the director himself.
