The movie that is making the biggest noise for 2020 is 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and having the dream combo Thalapathy Vijay and Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi as the protagonist and antagonist. The first look released on New Year's eve has become a trending conversation on social media worldwide. The latest news that is spreading in Kollywood circles is that the story has been inspired by a 2011 Korean film 'Silenced' based on the true-life novel 'The Crucible' written by Gong Ji-young. The film deals with deaf-mute children facing sexual abuse by their teachers and hostel wardens until the arrival of one master who helps them fight against their tormentors. The movie caused a revolution in Korea prompting the government to take severe action against the child abusers and also closed down the facility.

When we got in touch with sources close to the 'Master' team we were informed that Lokesh Kanagaraj has written an original story and is not inspired by any film. The biggie with music score by Anirudh has the impressive cast of Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Gowri Kishan, Brigida and Dheena. The next shooting schedule will start in Chennai this week and the release is planned for Summer 2020.
