Thalapathy Vijay has an enviable mass fan following that extends from toddlers to senior citizens and the year 2020 has been a disappointing one for them. The lovable star's 'Master' could not be released in spite of completion on time due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown.
Highly placed sources close to Vijay have revealed that he is intent on compensating for the fan's disappointment and has come up with a mega plan. Accordingly, Vijay has reportedly asked the 'Master' producers to release the film on Pongal 2021 and also the 'Thalapathy 65' team to make foolproof plans to complete shooting fast and release the film for Diwali 2021. In that way, the fans who may not get to watch a Vijay film for one full year will get to watch him twice in the same year which would be a double treat for them.
'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has Vijay sharing screen space with Vijay Sethupathi and the ensemble cast of Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, and Arjun Doss among others. Anirudh is scoring the music and the production is taken care of by XB Film Creators and Seven Screen Studios.
'Thalapathy 65' is expected to be produced by Sun Pictures and directed by A.R. Murugadoss with Thaman scoring the music and the official announcement is expected soon.
