Thalapathy Vijay fans have been patiently waiting for almost eight months to enjoy their idol's new movie 'Master' in theaters. The past few days rumours started floating that the film has been sold to Netflix and will start streaming from Pongal 2021. However,Xavier Britto the producer has made it clear that though there are talks with a top OTT platform Vijay and his team are strongly in favor of relating the film in theaters and also sought the theater owners to work with them for a smooth release.
Now comes the news that theater owners confident that only 'Master' can pull in audiences again in large numbers have come up with a plan to make the film a big success. It is said that on Pongal 2021 for a week only 'Master' will be screened in all theaters in Tamil Nadu. This news is from various sources in the industry and has not been confirmed by the any official organization and hence we have to take it as heresay for now.
The same sources have also added that the auspicious day to screen 'Master' is January 13th and have suggested the same to the producers as well. The new action-thriller directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj with music score by Anirudh Ravichander has Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi as the hero and villain respectively with Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shantanu Bhagyaraj and Arjun Das part of the ensemble cast.
