Actor Vijay, who was last seen in Atlee's Bigil will be seen next in Master directed Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Xavier Britto's XB film creators. Master was supposed to release in April, but had been postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Recently there were rumours that Master might opt for a direct OTT release, but producer Xavier britto has now clarified regarding this in an interview. Britto has said that Master is a big movie that deserves a theatrical release and hence it won't have a direct OTT release.

Xavier Britto further added that Master will release in theatres only first and it'll be releasing either on Diwali 2020 or Pongal 2021. Master also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu, Arjun Das and has music by Anirudh.
