Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master' costarring Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist has infused new blood to the film industry and especially the theater business which came to a grinding halt for almost nine months due to the coronavirus pandemic. The commercial entertainer has brought back the audiences to theaters in large numbers and advance bookings are in the red even spilling into the weekdays.
The first five days gross collections of 'Master' is an astounding 147 Crores considering that only fifty percent occupancy is allowed in most theaters. Tamil Nadu accounted for 81 Crores, Kerala 7.3 Crores, Karnataka 12.5 Cr., Andhra 17Cr., North India - 4Cr., and Overseas raking in 25 Crores.
Already Hollywood and other overseas media has confirmed that 'Master' has kickstarted the box offices once again and it has also been revealed that the film is the number one worldwide in the past week. Though there have been no major Hollywood or Bollywood releases Vijay fans deservedly have one more reason to celebrate on social media.
