Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and costarring Vijay Sethupathi and Simbu's 'Easwaran' directed by Suseenthiran was slated for release on January 13th and 14th respectively. The releases were firmed up after the Tamil Nadu government issued orders allowing 100 percent occupancy in theaters.
Fans of both Vijay and Simbu were super excited to welcome their idols on screen after eight long months and plans were on for grand celebrations in theaters. The central government has just issued an order that could put the release of both 'Master' and 'Easwaran' in trouble.
The Ministry of Health has pointed out that the Tamil Nadu government's order allowing 100 percent occupancy is in violation of the MHA guidelines of allowing only 50 percent considering the safety of the citizens against coronavirus threat. The order has asked the Tamil Nadu government to immediately revoke its order dated 4.1.2021 in compliance with the central ministry.
We have to wait and watch how this new central government order would affect the release of both 'Master' and 'Easwaran' and whether it would be profitable to go ahead with half the occupancy at this juncture.
