Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has become the first cricketer to achieve the huge milestone of 100 million followers on the social media platform Instagram. The 32-year-old cricketer is the first person in the Asia-Pacific region to achieve this.
Congratulating this milestone, the ICC tweeted “Virat Kohli – the first cricket star to hit 100 million followers on Instagram”. It must be noted that Virat Kohli is the fourth most followed sportsperson on Instagram.
Portugal football player Cristiano Ronaldo is the first with 265 million followers, followed by Argentina football captain and Barcelona legend Lionel Messi and the third in the list is Brazil’s Neymar and they have 186 million and 147 million followers respectively.
