Director Vasanthabalan’s new period film ‘Aravaan’ has completed its first schedule of shooting in the dense forest areas of Tamil Nadu-Kerala border. The two heroes of the film Aadhi and Pasupathi have braved the difficult conditions of the forests including leech bites.

The second schedule will happen in huge sets erected in the same forest areas to which the team will go back in the first week of January.

Vasanthabalan has planned to shoot the thematic scenes in the second schedule. One scene that will be shot then is sacrificing some 500 buffaloes to the deity. The scene is going to be a stunning one and Vasanthabalan has detailed it to perfection for authenticity.

‘Aravaan’ film is inspired by the Tamil novel Kaval Kottam written by Su Venkatesan. It is set in the 18th century Tamil Nadu and revolves around four central characters played by Aadhi, Pasupathi, Dhanshika and Archana Kavi. Singer Karthik is debuting as a music director in ‘Aravaan’.
