Indian boxing sensation Mary Kom clinches gold at the Asian Boxing Championship for the fifth time by defeating Korea’s Kim Hyang Mi. The championship title match was held at Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh city today.
It is also notable that Mary Kom achieved this feat after a five year break to claim the title with an undisputed score 5-0. The last time the lady boxer got a gold was the Asian Games which was held in 2014. Sonia Lathar who contended Mary Kom in the finals had to leave with a silver medal.
