Another much-hyped cast to have been revealed so far was that of Marvel's reboot of Fantastic Four: Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn. The movie is scheduled to release on July 25, 2025, and is based on a team of superheroes graced with special powers.
Pascal, known for his role in The Last of Us on HBO, plays Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic. Kirby, known for her role in Napoleon opposite Joaquin Phoenix, plays Sue Storm, also known as Invisible Woman. An Emmy-nominated Moss-Bachrach will be playing Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing. Stranger Things alum Joseph Quinn will star as Johnny Storm, also known as The Human Torch.
Marvel released the cast through a Valentine’s card posted on Instagram.
The characters have been depicted before in films released in 2005 and 2007 with a star-studded cast including Chris Evans and Jessica Alba. Another adaptation was done in 2015 with Michael B Jordan and Miles Teller, who equally got some flack.
Plot details are thin on the ground for the reboot, except to say it'll be a storyline about astronauts who get superpowers after a space mission.
Rumors about casting had been circulating for months, with Kirby talking in November about her excitement at coming aboard.
The film will be directed by Matt Shakman, who already has credits in TV series WandaVision, Succession, and The Great—so it can only mean much excitement for the returning MCU film.
This comes as the most recent shift, leading up to the release of The Marvels, which is probably the least successful of the Marvel installments and introduces Madame Web—a co-venture between Marvel and Sony.
