Marvel's 'Thor: Love and Thunder' trailer is gloriously fascinating!

'Thor: Love and Thunder' is the fourth title in the Thor movie franchise and the sixth film in Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 4. The studio unleashed the theatrical trailer of 'Thor 4', directed by Taika Watiti, today. The 2.5-minute-long video features the god of thunder in his old glory. 'Thor: Love and Thunder' hits the screens on July 8.

The trailer opens with Korg (from Thor: Ragnarok) narrating the story of our space Viking Thor Odinson while we get to see the visuals of Chris Hemsworth getting back into shape after his depressed state in 'The Avengers Endgame'. Then, he meets his ex-lover Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who will take on the mantle of Thor in this movie.

Tessa Thompson reprises her role as Valkyrie while Russell Crowe cameos as Zeus. The highlight of the trailer is that we get a first look at Christian Bale as Gorr, the god butcher. His role is said to be one of the best villain arcs in the whole MCU. Gorr's look was reminiscent of the dark lord Voldemort from 'Harry Potter'. A glimpse of the showdown between Thor and Gorr is shown.

Earlier in MCU, Thor stated that he parted ways with Jane mutually during the events of 'Avengers: The Age of Ultron'. In 2018, Foster was amongst the victims who died when Thanos wiped out half the life in the universe with the Infinity Stones. She came back to life when the Avengers undid the snap five years later. 'Thor: Love and Thunder' will reveal what happens following their reunion.

Also, Thor has Loki's helmet tattooed on his back in the trailer. We all know that the god of mischief, Loki was assassinated by Thanos in 'Avengers: Infinity War'. But when the Avengers time-travelled to 2012 while trying to undo the snap (in Endgame), Loki escapes with Tesseract which sets up the new “Loki” show. Now, the fans are wondering if Loki might have been saved due to the time travel and encounter Thor in the movie.
