Phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is packed with a lot of surprises for the fans. It has already opened the multiverse plotline that is going to be featured in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness. Amid the sky-high anticipation for those films, a strong buzz speculated online is that the reboot of the Daredevil character.
Daredevil is a famous superhero character based on Marvel Comics. The character was part of Marvel's TV-verse: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher and Defenders. The shows were Netflix originals as well and Daredevil had three successful seasons. But Netflix cancelled the series' further seasons due to unknown reasons.
The franchise's fans have been longing to witness their favourite character on screen ever since the cancellation. Rumours started to surface on the internet that Matt Murdock/Daredevil played by actor Charlie Cox will be entering the MCU by featuring as Peter Parker's lawyer in No Way Home. Then, speculations came in flowing that the Daredevil reboot will happen with the same cast members from the Netflix title.
The recent hot buzz is that the actor Vincent D'Onofrio will return as the 'Daredevil' villain Wilson Fisk in Marvel's phase 4 series 'Hawkeye'. Also, Spider-Man: No Way Home leaks suggested that Charlie Cox returning as Matthew Murdock, the new lawyer of Peter Parker played by Tom Holland. Now, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has confirmed that Charlie Cox is returning as Matt Murdock at some point in the future of the MCU.
"If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil," Feige told a Hollywood media on Sunday. It is still unclear whether the studio planning a standalone film for Daredevil or making a new Daredevil series for Netflix/Disney+Hotstar or resuming the Netflix show from season 4. It is believed that Netflix's Daredevil actors will be returning but the story will be a fresh one.
