Marvel's much-anticipated film, Black Widow, starring Scarlett Johansson, has been pushed yet again. Black Widow, which was originally scheduled to release on May 7, will instead hit the theatres as well as Disney Plus simultaneously on July 9.

Disney moved the release dates of some of its other movies as well due to Black Widow's delayed release. Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution chairman Kareem Daniel mentioned in a statement, "Today's announcement reflects our focus on providing consumer choice and serving the evolving preferences of audiences. By leveraging a flexible distribution strategy in a dynamic marketplace that is beginning to recover from the global pandemic, we will continue to employ the best options to deliver The Walt Disney Company's unparalleled storytelling to fans and families around the world." Meanwhile, Cruella, the prequel to '101 Dalmatians,' featuring Emma Stone, will release as per schedule on May 28, also simultaneously on Disney Plus and theatres.

Pixar film 'Luca' will debut exclusively on Disney Plus on June 18. Disney plus postponed the releases of Free Guy (From May 21 to August 13), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (from July 9 to August 3), Deep Water (from August 13 to January 2022), The King's Man (from August 20 to December 22), and Death on the Nile (from September 17 to February 2022).
