Following the huge success of Sony and Marvel's Spider-Man franchises with Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland, the animated version of the web-slinger was introduced to the big screen audience with the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). It was both a critical and commercial hit.
As MCU's Spider-Man: No Way Home recently brought all the 3 Spider-Men together to become an all-time high grosser at the box office, the studios are currently working on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part Two), the first two-part animated sequel to the 2018 film.
A teaser of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) was released already which featured different versions of the web-slingers across the multiverse. We already repoorted to you that the Indian version of Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar, will be debuting in the upcoming movie. Now, the latest is the production houses have delayed the release date of the sequels.
Across the Spider-Verse, which was originally supposed to release in theatres on October 7, 2022, is now rescheduled to hit the screens worldwide on June 2, 2023. Along with that, Part II of Across the Spider-Verse will be released on March 29,2024. The official Twitter handle of the film has confirmed the news to the fans through a recent post.
