'Deadpool' is undoubtedly one of the most superhero franchises across the globe. Famous Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds plays Wade Wilson aka Deadpool, based on a Marvel comic book character, in the film series currently under Sony's production. 'Deadpool' and 'Deadpool 2' were released in 2016 and 2018, respectively and they emerged as a huge success.
It is being reported that Marvel's next ambitious film 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' will merge the Sonyverse with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The latest news is that 'Deadpool 3' is currently in the works at Marvel Studios. Last week, it was announced that 'Free Guy' and 'The Adam Project' (Ryan's previous films) director Shawn Levy is in talks to direct the threequel.
Deadpool is in the same universe as the mutants from the X-Men film series under the Sonyverse. Rumours and fan theories suggest that Hugh Jackman's iconic Logan/Wolverine might return for a cameo in the Doctor Strange sequel. While the possibility of it happening is uncertain, sources are now adding that Levy and Reynolds may manage to get Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine as they are good friends.
Meanwhile, the trending talk in the Hollywood media circle is whether Marvel will debut the 'Lady Deadpool' character in its cinematic universe with Deadpool 3. Bella Thorne is the name that frequently comes up for the casting of Lady Deadpool character after the buzz on the internet as the actress herself expressed interest in taking up the role, recently.
Speaking to Comic Book Movie, Bell Thorne answered, "Yes, superheroes are definitely fun. I love action stuff, naturally, and I do a lot of action stuff with stunts and whatnot. It's just always really fun on set and it breaks up the work day when you get to concentrate on the body and feel and how to perform, not just using your voice. That's always fun for me. Deadpool is my favorite. It's so raunchy and, hello, who doesn't love Ryan Reynolds? He just fucking nails that role to the floor. What I love about Deadpool is that realism mixed with the you know, superhero world. It's something where we feel we can talk to this superhero now in today's day while still having them be a superhero. I love that shit. Like, The Boys? Love that TV show" when asked about playing Lady Deadpool.
