One of the most talked-about casting decisions in recent years, Marvel's 'Spider-Man' is definitely high-profile. The latest buzz is that apart from Asa Butterfield (Ender's Game) and Tom Holland (The Impossible) who are hot in contention for the webcrawler's role are facing competition from four other actors that auditioned for the part alongside them.

It is being reported that all the six teenagers had taken part in the auditions in Atlanta on Saturday. Two of the actors already being tested for the roles we already know: 18-year-old actors Asa Butterfield and Tom Holland.
The other four however are a surprise to many in the industry as well as fans alike. Newcomer Judah Lewis is set to make an appearance in Jean Marc-Vallee's 'Demotion'; Matthew Lintz has played a part in the upcoming Adam Sandler flick 'Pixels'; Charlie Plummer, best known for his performance in HBO's hit TV series 'Boardwalk Empire' and British actor Charlie Rowe, aged 19, best known for his role in 'Red Band Society'.
An inside source, however, mentioned that Marvel may not like any of their choices and could still keep looking and pursuing more new actors.
Further reports suggest Marvel President Kevin Feige, Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal and 'Captain America: Civil War' directors Joe and Anthony Russo were all present during the screen-tests.
Spider-Man is all set to make Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in a cameo in 'Captain America: Civil War' when the movie arrives in theaters on May 6, 2016 and then appear in his own film on July 28, 2017.
