Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is all set to introduce another superhero to the mix. Marvel on Tuesday dropped the official trailer of Ms Marvel which features an American teenager paving her way as a superhero after she wears the cap.

The two-minute trailer has Vellani who is playing Kamal Khan in the series saying that she wants to be like Captain Marvel, followed by a series of events letting her explore her superhero powers. The video suggests she will gain her superpower from what looks to be a magical bracer. The trailer also gives us glimpses of her high school life, the object of her affections, home life, and confirms the character remains a practising Muslim in the MCU.

It is to be noted that Marvel is introducing a Pakistani-American as their lead Superhero for the first time. Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan is the first female Muslim actor in the Marvel Cinematic universe. The series will release on June 8 on Disney plus Hotstar.

Apart from Vellani, Ms Marvel casts an array of Asian and American actors including Mohan Kapur, Nimra Bucha, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, and Travina Springer. Meanwhile, it was also reported that Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan will be a part of the web series.
