The success of 'Mahanubhavudu' has put Maruthi on cloud nine. In this birthday interview, he talks about his future moves and more.
Increased responsibility:
The success of this film has only increased my responsibility towards the audiences. All my films belong to a genre of their own. They are entertaining in their own way. 'Mahanubhavudu' has a sense of social responsibility as well. I am glad that the film has impressed all sections of audiences. All the elements that the audiences were looking for are there in the film.
Want to be subtle:
The audience can stay assured that I will come up with a new story every time. I want to continue doing subtle subjects. I don't make movies with the intention of giving a message.
Director is like a tailor:
A director is like a tailor. Just as a tailor customizes a piece of clothing as per a person's requirements, so does a director makes a film that fits the bill for a given set of actors.
Apt for Chaitu's body language:
I have travelled along with Chaitu (Naga Chaitanya) for long. I have now penned a story that suits his body language. It's a teenage love story sans post-marriage ego tussles, etc. I am busy with the film's pre-production works. The film will go to the sets from the month of November. Anu Emmanuel is the heroine.
Discuss it with others:
Whenever I conceive an idea, I discuss it with my friends. When they get excited, I discuss it with a hundred others. That's how I go about my work.
Want to work with all:
I want to do films with all actors, big and small, new and old. I am not thinking of doing any sequels and remakes.
