Director Maruthi is working in collaboration with music director Gopi Sunder to complete Shailaja Reddy Alludu's Re-recording works in Konchi. However, with floods lashing the state, the duo are facing hiccups. They are having to put in extra hours to complete the task on time.

There are rumours that the film might get postponed because of the obstacles posed by the Kerala floods. But a statement from the director has put the record straight. "RR works are in full swing, floods in Kochi delayed the work flow, but no compromise on quality & working extra hours. Thank you #GopiSundar garu for the support," Maruthi said, adding that 'SAR' will hit the screens on August 31.

The film stars Naga Chaitanya, Anu Emmanuel and Ramya Krishna in main roles. Produced by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments, its cinematography is by Nizar Shafi. Editing is by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
