Married Odia star couple give headache to each other

Celeb divorces and skirmishes have always been reported passionately by the media, especially when they concern ultra-glamorous industries like Bollywood. But there is a star couple in Odisha whose court battle for divorce has taken some interesting turns.

Anubhav Mohanty, a hero-turned-politician, has been married to actress Varsha Priyadarshini since 2014. They both filed for divorce in 2020. 

Anubhav has been putting out a series of videos on YouTube alleging that his wife has been tarnishing his image by making false accusations. The other day, in a sensational turn of events, he claimed that he and his wife haven’t had sex since marriage even once. “As a husband, I am right in seeking a divorce from her,” he said, drawing the sympathy of his supporters. 

Put off by all this public drama, the court has asked Anubhav to stop making public posts when the court is seized of the matter. It also gave a similar directive to the wife. 

Odia movie buffs are keeping great interest in the whole issue. “What Anubhav is claiming in the video is also admitted by Barsha in her affidavit. So there is no doubt about that. And Anubhav should get divorce purely on the ground of being denied conjugal rights,” wrote social media user Sambit Nayak.
