December is usually a season of Carnatic music in Chennai. Almost all the sabhas would line up Carnatic music programmes throughout the month. But as far as Kollywood is concerned, it is the season of weddings.

A host of marriages takes place this December in Chennai featuring film personalities.

Manoj K Bharathy, son of Bharathiraja and actress Nanadana, who enter the wedlock on 19 November, would have a grand reception in Chennai on 1 December.

On the same day, Arun Vijay would tie the wedding knot.

On 4 December, actress Renuka Menon, who acted in movies including Dass and Kalabha Kadhalan, will marry a software engineer from America.

Remember Gayathri Raghuram?

A one-time actress and daughter of veteran choreographer Raghuram, she will marry Deepak, a software enginner from the US, at Mayor Ramanathan Chettiyar Hall, Chennai.

A week later on 13 December, director Selvaraghavan and actress Sonia Agarwal are expected to tie the knot in Chennai.
