After a dismal show in his recent movies including Pandipada, Dileep was keen for a hit to establish his hold in the industry.

Known for coming up with something novel whenever he has faced a slump at the box office, Dileep for his Onam release has gone for Chandupottu.

Directed by Lal Jose, Dileep has tried his hand out at an effeminate character - Radhakrishnan. An eunuch kind of character, really. Dileep fitted the character, which is devoid of any heroism well.

Equally impressive is Gopika. As a result, the comedy has worked wonders at the box office and Dileep's Chandupottu has seen a slow but steady rise at the box office.

Happy days are back for Dileep who was desperate for a success.
