'Marikondavaru' By Shivarudralah

One of the successful art film maker (not in box office) Shivarudraiah has come out with Marikondavaru` based on three novels of eminent writer Devanuru Mahadeva. Producers Gururaj Set and S Venkatesh have continued their support to Shivarudraiah who made some of the critically acclaimed films like Daatu, Chaitrada Chiguru, Belli Kirana` and others.

The caption for Marikondavaru` is Samanathe Atta Kanasu Kanuththa`. The three novels of Devanuru Mahadeva Dambaru Bandavaru, Moodala Seeme Kole Gile and Marikondavaru is made in to one script for this film. In the past TS Nagabharana clubbed three novels of Ta Ra Su Akasmika Aparadhi and Parinama for Akasmika`.

Workaholic, intelligent Shivarudraiah touches on various contemporary issues with this film Marikondavaru`. The younger days of Devanuru Mahadeva is played by Kannada speaking Sulil who is staying in Chennai and so far acted in nearly 10 films.

Sanchari Vijay, Sardar Sathya, Samyuktha Belawadi, Sonu and others are in the cast. In 25 days at Nanjangud, Camarajanagara, Magadi, Dyavanuru shoot was held. The 80`s location is another search made by Shivarudraiah for the film. National award winning for Byari` cameraman Murali Krishna is behind camera, Issac Thomas in music, Suresh Urs editing, Shashidhar Adapa art are technical support to Shivarudraiah.

Shivarudraiah documentaries are also very popular ones. On the century of Gamaka Vidwan Sri Kaushik, documentary on Dr GSS, Rashtrakavi, P Kalinga Rao father of Sugama Sangeetha, KT Shivakumar, Siddalingaiah have brought wide recognition for Shivarudraiah.
