Maria Roy of 'Notebook' marries

Actress Maria Roy, who captured the Malayali hearts with her spirited performance in her debut movie 'Notebook' has tied the wedding knot. The event took place at Le Meredian, Kochi, in a grand ceremony. The couple is expected to settle in the US.

Maria's husband is Samith, whose parents are settled abroad. Maria's grandmother, Mary Roy is a well known women's right activist and educationalist. Renowned writer and Booker prize winner Arundathi Roy is her father's sister. Since 'Notebook',Maria has not been very active in tinsel town. She was last seen in 'Mumbai Police' and 'Hotel California'.
