Mari Selvaraj completed a hattrick of super hits with Udayanidhi Stalin starrer 'Maamannan' which was recently released and received critical acclaim and box office success. The film is currently streaming number one in India on Netflix.
Mari Selvaraj has also completed a pet project 'Vaazhai' starring Kalaiyarasan, Nikhila Vimal, Dhivya Duraisamy and Priyanka Nair in the lead roles. The film dealing with childhood will release soon amidst high praise from celebrities who have seen an early screening.
After the ace filmmaker's 'Karnan' starring Dhanush it was announced that his next will star Dhruv Vikram in the lead and produced by Pa. Ranjith. Now the project is ready to take off by the end of August in Thoothukudi and its surroundings.
Dhruv is set to play the real life character of Kabbadi player Manathi Ganesh in this biopic. Born in a small village near Thoothukudi in an underpreviliged household he achieved success in national and Asian level Kabaddi. It is also noteworthy that the central government has honored him with the Arjuna Award. The story is set in the backdrop of the late 90s. It is already known that Dhruv Vikram spent a few months in kabaddi training in prep for the project.
