Margot Robbie, unable to speak due to losing her voice, used hand signals at the Saltburn premiere in LA, her first red carpet appearance since the US actors’ strike. The actress, starring in the film and co-produced it alongside Josey McNamara, indicated her throat and shrugged when asked for an interview, later confirmed by her representatives.

Robbie's last outing was at the London premiere of Barbie just before the strike halted stars attending premieres. McNamara expressed pride in the movie, lauding the collaboration with Robbie and Emerald Fennell, the director and Oscar-winning filmmaker of the thriller Saltburn.

The film, delayed during the strike, stars Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi. Keoghan portrays student Oliver Quick, navigating life at Oxford University, drawn into aristocrat Felix Catton's world. Elordi's character invites Oliver to his family's estate, leading to infatuation.

The movie, set for release on November 17, also features Rosamund Pike, Richard E Grant, and Carey Mulligan. Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, whose song "Murder On The Dancefloor" appears in the film, expressed excitement about its unique use. She praised Fennell's approach and the fresh interpretation of her song.

British composer Anthony Willis admired the film's English essence, emphasizing his joy in creating the score to accompany Oliver's journey. Saltburn, reflecting Fennell's directorial prowess and stellar performances, thrilled Willis with its portrayal of lust, puzzles, and longing.
