While 'Inttelligent', 'Tholi Prema' and 'Gayatri' may have their own reasons to arrive on Feb 9/10, it's to their credit that they have saved themselves from the pain of uncertainty that looms large over Telugu cinema from March 1. Same holds for the Feb 16th releases - 'AWE', 'Manasuku Nachindi', 'Rajaratham' and 'Rachayita'.

The Telugu Film Producer`s Council (TFPC)'s fight against the oligopoly of a few Digital Service Providers means that theatres are going to be closed from March 1. Same goes for theatres in other South Indian states, with South Indian Film Chamber joining the strike.

The oligopoly of a few players in the DSP segment has allegedly been affecting small producers rather badly. The private players like UFO, Qube, PXD, and Scrable have to budge. Otherwise, there won't be any releases from March 1 (indefinitely).

Those who have planned their releases for Feb 23 have a small window. No new release has been announced after that.
