Manushi Chhillar, who won the coveted Miss World title in 2017, is now all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar in Prithviraj. The actress, who is known to be an animal lover and a vegetarian, has been voted as the Sexiest Vegetarian Personality by PETA.

Having been a strong advocate for vegetarianism and expressing the same on global platforms, Manushi reacted to the news, saying, "Being a vegetarian has actually been a way of life for me. My parents were vegetarians and while they gave me the choice I never felt like I was missing on something. I've always been a vegetarian and have never felt like I needed to change that. I do believe vegetarian food is extremely nutritious and has tremendous health benefits in terms of regulating cholesterol, blood pressure, among others. As an animal lover, my core is at peace with this decision and I’m happier being a vegetarian."

Prithviraj, featuring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar, is an upcoming historical period drama film based on the life of the Rajput warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan.

The film is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Aditya Chopra under his production house Yash Raj Films.
