'Manu', a crowd-funded film featuring Brahmanandam’s son Goutham and Chandini Chowdary in leading roles, has been written and directed by Phanindra Narsetti, who has made short films in the past.
The news is that the film is CG-free despite boasting of several trick shots. "Every trick shot you see in 'Manu' is 100% on-set, in-camera achievement. Some inputs were given during the shoot to choose VFX for particular shots but the director, from the beginning wanted things to be practical and hates the idea of a green screen. It was a tough choice and tested their abilities but after a lot of brainstorming and meticulous preparation, they finally achieved what they wanted using the camera," a statement from Nirvana Cinemas says. Cinematography is by Vishwanath Reddy
