A video of veteran actor Mansoor Ali Khan making sexist and derogatory statements against actress Trisha went viral on the internet. The busy villain during the nineties did not get much chances lately and director Lokesh Kanagaraj cast him in an important character in Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo'.

Mansoor in his speech "joked" in rank bad taste that he did not get a chance to "rape" Trisha in the film. He went on in length to explain his fantasy and mentioned that he did the same to yesteryear actresses Khushbu and Roja.

Trisha and Lokesh Kanagaraj have condemned his shocking speech and several celebrities including Karthik Subbaraj, Malavika Mohanan and Khushbu have slammed the brash actor. The Nadigar Sangam has demanded an unconditional public apology from Mansoor.

However undeterred by the situation, actor Mansoor Alikhan has responded to the criticism on him. He said to the press "My daughter and sons forwarded social media posts saying that Trisha was offended by my speech. Someone has edited the video to misconstrue my speech and create trouble for me. I had announced that I will be contesting the coming elections on behalf of a major party. This controversy has been triggered with ulterior motive to defame me.

The 61 year old actor turned politician added out of context "Also, at the 'Leo' Puja, I told Trisha that my daughter Dilruba is a big fan of hers and I also have two more daughters who are of marriageable age. I have acted in 360 films and everyone knows that I am always very respectful to my fellow actresses. "

Mansoor finished off saying "There are so many problems in the world... Please take care of it and don't concentrate on this issue". Even after all the backlash and protests, Mansoor Ali Khan in his statement did not seem to regret his speech or realize his mistake.
