Another well known signer’s son takes the plunge as an actor in Kollywood. The one this time is actor-singer Mano’s son, Sahir. Mano, who has sung over 48,000 songs in 14 Indian languages, is still popularly referred to SPB’s sound-like. His voice bearing a big resemblance to SP Balasubramaniyam, Mano made it big even as SPB’s popularity peaked. In fact, he even turned actor later in his career with Kamal Haasan’s 'Singaravelan'.

His son Sahir is being launched as a hero in the film 'Nalladhor Veenai Seithen'. Named after a powerful Bharathiyar poem, the film is said to be a romance. Arya’s brother, who is also called Sahir, has changed his named to Sathyaa and is being launched as a hero in 'Kadhal 2 Kalyanam'.

Apart from Mano’s son, SPB’s son, Charan, is a popular producer, singer and actor. Yet another singer Malaysia Vasudevan’s son, Yugendran, is also a popular host for TV shows, apart from being an actor and a music director.
