These days, blockbusters from southern film industries are giving Bollywood a run for their money on their own turf. The popularity and box office collections of Hindi dubbed versions of films like 'RRR', 'Pushpa', 'KGF' etc are miles ahead of those of their Bollywood counterparts.
So naturally, Bollywood stars and filmmakers are a little concerned about loosing their audience to South Indian films and they often share their opinion on what Bollywood is doing wrong in comparison to southern cinema. Actor Manoj Bajpayee recently shared that Tamil and Telugu are industries are way more professional than Bollywood and they tend to stay true to themselves instead of following someone else's idea of success.
Manoj told ETimes, "As far as the B and C centers are concerned, South films have always been professional, innovative, and entertaining and have been well received. The Hindi film industry was happy with the NRI and multiplex audience. They were happy with the viewers that they got through these channels. But now the tides are turning. Having said that, I have been up for scrutiny and criticism for my films and work, too. And as always, I welcome it."
