'Manmadhudu-2' has had it so hard in the US. The crucial Overseas market has seen just about USD 210,000 in terms of gross collections as of the end of Sunday. This low figure, needless to say, is excruciating.

"The opening figure in the US is abysmal. It's just better than Ram Gopal Varma's 'Officer', which is the biggest disaster in Nagarjuna's career," says an analyst.

What about the situation in the Telugu States? If early trends are anything to go by, it was not at all encouraging on Sunday although it's not as tragic as in the US.

Directed by Rahul Ravindran, the film's script comes with some unpardonable flaws. It is too sketchy when it comes to narrating the change in the mindset of its protagonist, played by Nag. Also, showing Rakul as a waitress who readily agrees to be hired as a girlfriend hasn't gone down well with the tastes of the Telugu audience.
