'Mankatha' wins multiple awards in Singapore!

Ajith's 50th film 'Mankatha' made a clean sweep at a just concluded award ceremony in Singapore. This has put the film's director Venkat Prabhu on cloud nine, and he is all smiles about the honor.

"Mankatha dominates ITFA '11 @ Singapore!!! Best film, best director, best cinematographer, best supporting actor, best female singer!!!" wrote the 'Chennai 600028' and 'Saroja' director on his microblogging page.

Expressing gratitude to producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri and Ajith, Venkat Prabhu added: "Special thanks to Thala for his love and support for mankatha!!!!" He has also thanked his brother and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja for his work in the film.

Congratulating STR for winning the best actor award, Venkat said, "Best actor award went to my bro STR!! But he couldn't make it as he was in da US of A for his love peace and prema!! Missed u." The director's happiness is double that his father Gangai Amaren was honored with lifetime achievement award.
