As reported earlier, actor Madhu Warrier is making his directorial debut with ‘Lalitham Sundaram’ that will feature his sibling and actress Manju Warrier in the lead role. The movie's shoot began in February and was progressing at a brisk pace until the lockdown was announced in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Madhu Warrier had earlier revealed that he was upset over delaying the release of his movie, which was planned to have a July 3 release.
And now, in a recent interview with TOI, the director had revealed that the "break was frustrating" as it interrupted the flow of the shoot. With only 23 days of shoot left to complete the movie, Madhu Warrier said, "When the lockdown was announced, we all thought it would be over in a month but now we have no idea when we can begin. We had decided that we didn’t want to compromise on the script that we have and lose its essence. My biggest worry now is that all the actors will have to start from the scratch again."
Lalitham Sundaram’ is the first movie as siblings Manju and Madhu are teaming up. The movie has Biju Menon playing the male lead. Manju Warrier and Biju Menon are sharing screen space after a long gap of 20 years. Jointly produced by Manju Warrier Productions and Century Films, the movie is written by Pramod Mohan.
