Mollywood's superstar heroine Manju Warrier is trapped amidst landslides in Chatru, Himachal Pradesh following heavy rains that have wreaked havoc in the region. On Sunday the multiple award winner had made a 15 seconds call to her brother Madhu Warrier informing him of her plight that she and her 30 member film crew were stranded alongwith several other civilians without food, water, electricity and cellphone signal. The team was camped for the past few weeks to shoot a new movie 'Kayyatam' directed by Sanal Kumar Sashidharan.
The Minister of State for External affairs V. Muraleedharan has updated on Tuesday night "Spoke to Shri Jairam Thakur ji, Hon’ble CM of Himachal Pradesh on the Malayalam film crew stuck in Chatru. Mandi district administration is in touch with the stranded crew members. Evacuation efforts are on to bring them back to Manali by today evening.
Manju Warrier has finished shooting for her Tamil debut 'Asuran' directed by Vettrimaaran in which she is paired opposite Dhanush and the film is hitting the screens on October 4th.
