Manju Warrier was recently presented with an award by the Sangeetha Nataka Academy. The award was announced much earlier. A few controversies had reared its head, saying that there were other artistes more competent to get this award.
The award was presented to Manju Warrier by Academy Chairman Soorya Krishanmoorthy. Manju Warrier said that there were other artistes who were more talented than her and wondered if she was experienced enough to get this award. She went on to thank the jury for choosing her and made known her acceptance of the award promising that she will strive to study dance more with sincere practice and dedication as long as life permits.
