For the first time, Mollywood actors Manju Warrier and Jayasurya are teaming together for a remake movie. Titled 'Meri Awaz Suno', the movie is an official remake of the Bengali hit 2019 film 'Konttho'. The movie started rolling in Trivandrum on Monday. Sharing a picture from the location, Jayasurya wrote, " Waiting for the call to the unknown world...??????

The Bengali blockbuster starred Shiboprasad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy in the lead roles. Directed by Prajesh Sen and produced by B Rakesh, the remake will also star Shiboprasad Mukherjee, who played the lead in the original. Konttho was about an RJ Arjun Mallik played by Shiboprosad Mukherjee and his journey to hear his voice, once again, after a laryngectomy.

It was recently, Meri Awaz Suno's poster was unveiled and had grabbed the attention of many.

Apart from Jayasurya and Manju Warrier, 'Meri Awaz Suno' will also feature Sshivada, Johny Antony, and Sudheer Karamana in important roles. Music is by M Jayachandran and lyrics are by BK Harinarayanan.

Meanwhile, Jayasurya is basking in the success of his recent release Vellam. It was the first Malayalam film to hit theatres after the lockdown. The actor is also awaiting the release of Ranjith Sankar’s Sunny that he had shot after the lockdown. He also has ‘Turbo Peter’, ‘Aadu 3 3D’, 'Rama Sethu' and ‘Kathanar’ .

On the other side, Manju had completed the shoot of Lalitham Sundaram, and also has Padavettu, Vellarikkapattanam, Chathurmukham, Kayattam and Jack and Jill coming up.
